Austin is a precious pup with a story that tugs at the heartstrings. Sadly left in a crate with only a bowl of water, this little trooper was rescued by compassionate individuals who brought him to us in hopes of finding him his perfect home. He was in a home briefly and was excited to become a permanent part of the family, but unfortunately the resident dog in the home did not want a new sibling and was not welcoming to poor Austin. We're told Austin is great with kids aged 9 and up and he has his dog friends at our shelter, so we think he'd be a great candidate for a multi-dog home. Any resident dogs should come out to meet him to make sure everyone gets along. He's really just a big puppy!
According to his previous owner, he is a fantastic student and is making great strides in housetraining - with prompting, he knows exactly what to do! He's been at our shelter for quite a while, so a refresher course would be beneficial to him. His breed is a guess, but we think with his dashing red looks, we think she has some Pit and Rhodesian Ridgeback in him! He's been vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. He currently weighs a sturdy 70 lbs and his estimated date of birth is 1/23/2025.
