It is always amazing to see the resilience of animals.  Daisy came in matted to the skin and covered in painful stickers.  We have no idea how long she has been suffering like this.  She was seen being thrown over a fence and the person driving off.  :( Fortunately, a kind person rescued her and brought her in.  She immediately went over to the groomer to get all the hair stripped off.  The second picture is what she looked like when she arrived.  We are certain that she must feel a great deal of relief from all those stickers.  Even though she seems like she has been incredibly neglected, she is a very sweet dog.  She looks like she is only 1 to 2 years of age based on her nice clean teeth and she weighs 21 pounds.  We do not know if she has been around kids, dogs or cats, so we can't say for sure how she will do.  She seems very submissive and quiet, but we suspect when she gets into a new home she will likely blossom when she is loved and cared for.  She has received her yearly vaccinations, microchipping and will be going over to be spayed on 10/8 so can go home the next day.  She will need to get regular grooming when her hair grows out so she never has to suffer this again.  We do not know if she is truly hypoallergenic, but she does seem like she may have that type of hair.  $350.00 to help us with the cost of her care.
