Meet Gretchen, a gentle 14-year-old soul. Gretchen came to us as a stray, so while we don't know her full backstory, we do know that she is ready for a peaceful, loving chapter to call her own. She is a low-key, affectionate girl who wants nothing more than a quiet spot to rest her head and a warm lap to snuggle next to.
As a senior girl who has had a tough start, Gretchen’s body shows some wear and tear. A veterinarian has diagnosed her with dental disease, Cranial Cruciate Ligament Disease and Luxating Patella, which causes her to walk with a distinct limp. She isn't looking for long hikes or intense playtime, just short, leisurely strolls in the yard and plenty of cozy nap spots. To keep her comfortable, happy, and pain-free, Gretchen will need to remain on daily pain management for the rest of her life, enjoying a soft food diet.
Because of her ongoing medical and medication needs, Gretchen's adoption fee is completely waived. Our top priority is getting this sweet girl out of the shelter setting and into a warm, calm, loving home where she can be pampered for the remainder of her golden years.
